Berita Harian National Futsal Championship 2015 @HYFA
The tournament, created by the digital section of Singapore’s Malay language daily, will see 970 matches being played on May 30 and 31 at the Home United Youth Football Academy along Mattar Road.
After the overwhelming response at the end of the two-week registration period last month, organisers finalised the 265 teams who will compete in six categories — Under-12, U-14, U-18, U-35, Above-35 and Women.
The champions for the U-12, U-14 and U-18 categories will each win a trophy, medals and $700 in cash, while the winners of the U-35 and A-35 categories will each walk away with a trophy, medals and $1,000 in cash. The winners of the Women’s category will win a trophy, medals and $500 in cash.
In addition, the champions for U-35, A-35 and Women categories will also win more than $19,000 worth of air tickets sponsored by AirAsia, the championship’s official airline partner.
We ended the BH National Futsal Championship 2015 just about a week ago! We are still in awe of the responses we received as well as how we brought the community together through the event.
We would like to share an editorial piece by BH's organising committee member, Mr Puad Ibrahim
He shared that with the beginning of SEA Games 28th edition in Singapore, we look forward to everyone coming together with the spirit of sportsmanship, social cohesion and healthy lifestyle.
We saw that during the NFC 2015, sports will bring everyone together regardless of race, nationality or religion. Through sports, the country can unite and strengthen towards a peaceful and harmonious living.
We also saw in the NFC the drive in everyone to compete in a respectful manner.
Once again, HUFC & HYFA is proud to be part of an event that shares the values of bringing the community together.
